Monday October 7, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Audra vents to Sally about Kyle, while Claire recognizes how deceitful Kyle has been. Meanwhile, Nick encourages Phyllis to allow the police to manage the situation.
Friday’s recap: Chance informs Daniel that Heather’s death was no accident, while Phyllis weeps with Billy, and Sharon prepares to set Daniel up.

Kyle bumps into Audra at Society and playfully teases her about getting her fired. She has to give him credit for successfully pulling that off.

Next time, she’ll need to double her efforts to take him down.
He responds that there won’t be a next time—she lost. Game over.
She trails him to the bar and insists that this isn’t finished. She brought Glissade to them.

He reminds her that she stole it from Tucker and now it is Victor’s.
Kyle is sure she will weasel her way into some other gig.
She tells him he’s a fraudulent mama’s boy and doesn’t know what it’s like to work.
He mocks her and she gets more infuriated, vowing to keep proving that she is better than everyone.
Her life has been nothing but struggle and she won’t let him take this away from her.

“I already have,” he says.
At Sharon’s, Faith texts her mom, asking where she is.
In a parking lot, Sharon ignores texts from her daughter.
She tries to figure out how she can pull this off and wonders where Cameron is when she needs him.

Calming herself, she says she can do this and they won’t lock her up for the rest of her life.
She’s going to fix this once and for all.
She just needs to get Daniel and Lucy out of the apartment.

In his apartment, Daniel smells Heather’s clothes until he gets a text.

He stares at until Lucy interrupts.
She can’t believe her mom is gone.
He knows it will be rough but they will get through this somehow.
They need to be strong and lean on each other.

She feels like she will be sad forever.
He’s sure her mom would want them to move on and be happy.
He’s sure she will be in their hearts every step of the way. That’s forever.

She asks what was on his phone. Reluctantly, he explains he got a message from her mom’s phone.
Leaping up, she assumes this means her mom is alive.
He says someone found her phone and wants to return it.
He wishes this was a horrible nightmare but he’s seen the body.

Daniel needs to get the phone. There could be a clue on there.
She wants to go with him but he tells her she needs to stay.
Lucy can’t sleep and needs to be part of thus. He agrees. She insists they do this tonight.
Sitting in her vehicle, Sharon waits until Daniel texts that he wants the phone.

She texts back to meet up and then watches them drive off.
Sharon sneaks into the apartment with the bag of bloody rags.

She plants them and the phone in the liquor cabinet.

When Sharon gets home, Faith is relieved that she’s back.
She was scared that she away and not answering her texts.

Her mom claims she was just feeling restless and needed to go out and reflect on things.
She’s been counting her blessings and Faith is one of those.
She promises things will be better.

“I turned a corner tonight,” Sharon says.
She feels bad that her children don’t trust her to leave the house.
Faith says they are scared after what happened to Heather.
She wonders if she should reach out to Lucy.
Her mom says that’s a thoughtful idea but she should give her some time.

Faith is exhausted and decides to go to bed.
Once she does, Cameron shows up.
He commends her on figuring things out at Daniel’s.
Now all she needs to do is tip off the cops and Daniel will be arrested.
She can finally get justice.

On the Crimson Lights patio, Summer tells Nick and Phyllis that Heather died of blunt force trauma.
Phyllis guesses that someone must have killed her.

Daniel and Lucy will have to live with knowing there’s someone out there who would do this to Sharon.
Nick doesn’t think they should speculate about this.
They need to be sensitive and be there for Daniel and Lucy.

Summer wonders what she should be doing now.
Her mom suggests they start preparing a memorial service.
He urges her to talk to her son before going overboard.
Let him decide if he wants her help.

Phyllis is so nervous this will push her son back into a blackhole.
Summer says he’s a different person now.
They speculate about what happened to Heather that night.
He suggests they let the police figure it out.

Phyllis is glad that Chance is back on the force.
Summer is sure he will do all he can for Daniel and Lucy.
Phyllis feels like she should be with her son right now.
