The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, July 17, direct Summer to
fight fire with fire, as she decides that the only way to prove what a terrific mother
she is to Kyle is to follow in the footsteps of Mother of the Year…Phyllis. This is a very sensible choice.
My Mother, Myself
Summer (Allison Lanier) was so incensed with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) faking her death that she cut her mother off for…minutes. She told Phyllis she didn’t know what it meant to be a good mom. Summer would be doing a much, much better job with her precious Harrison (Redding Munsall).
That is, until Kyle (Michael Mealor) started acting like Harrison was just his son, not Summer’s. (Which is true, but hey, Ky-Guy, if you tell the little boy to call your wife Mommy, don’t act surprised when he thinks of her as his mother, as Summer thinks of him as her son — this one is on you.) And the only way she can think of to beat Kyle at his own game is for Summer to follow in Phyllis’s footsteps. Oh, well, did Harrison really need his mental health? He’s already lost his first set of parents. What’s another, more or less?
