A new relationship is on the horizon for Adam Barlow
(Sam Robertson) and Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) – but what
impact will that have on her new job at rival firm Fabian’s?
Viewers of the long-running ITV soap have seen their
working relationship become fractured in recent scenes, since she took the lead on an important meeting with client Rich Pemberton (Jamie Cho) and subsequently secured herself a lucrative position at his firm.
Sick of feeling underappreciated at Barlow Legal, she took the bold decision to leave after a tense argument.
Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) scorned Adam for his attitude towards their legal secretary, and he called round to No. 6 to apologise – but she wasn’t having any of it and threatened to take him to an employment tribunal.
In upcoming scenes, Alya calls by at the solicitors for a client file and discovers Adam struggling to keep up with the workload in her absence.
Suggesting to Dee-Dee that they pull out on any joint work with Fabian’s, she accused him of being petty and orders him to get back to work.
Later in the day, Rich and Alya arrive for a meeting with Adam and he’s taken aback to learn that she’s accepted a role in Dublin.
