The Emmerdale storm that took place in 2022

shocked everyone when two iconic characters died

as a result of their injuries sustained in the ordeal.

One of them was Liv (Isobel Steele), who became

trapped under a caravan when it blew across the village.

The other was Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton). After setting off into the woods on her quad bike, things took a dramatic turn when she fell down a steep hill and became trapped under it.

Kim Tate (Claire King) found Harriet and pulled her free, but a lightning bolt struck the bike, killing her.

The sudden departure devastated Emmerdale fans. For Dean Andrew, who plays Will Taylor aka Harriet’s ex, he recently reflected on these scenes and how upset he was to say goodbye to Katherine.

‘She was great, a really good actor, really down to earth. It’s one of the sadder things here – a lot of people have lost their partners along the way’, he said.

‘I know Claire [King] misses a couple of the boys – Michael and Graham, erm Andrew – and she misses working with them but it’s just part of losing good people along the way.’

Elsewhere, Dean has also been speaking about Will’s new storyline involving Rose (Christine Tremarco), who is Dawn Taylor’s (Olivia Bromley) mother.

‘He initially tries to hide the fact that she’s here. But not for the fact of hiding the fact, but just that he didn’t want to bring up any issues that aren’t really there.’, he explained.

‘Sometimes it’s just better to not to say. She can just bugger off and no-one will know she’s been there and Will can get just get on with the life that he enjoys and with who he considers his family now.

However, Dean added that: ‘Will goes down the road of “you don’t want anything to do with this person [Rose]” and she [Dawn] says “maybe I do?” and Will starts to take that into consideration. Maybe that she might want to find out more about her.’
