New Emmerdale boss Sophie Roper has finally got her hands on the reins of the ITV
soap, and she has promised plenty of exiting drama ahead – including a chaotic wedding.
The couple set to tie the knot are none other than Paddy Kirk and Mandy Dingle (Dominic
Brunt and Lisa Riley), who’s relationship has been somewhat rocky over the last few months.
The fan favourite couple went through a rough patch earlier this year after Paddy shared a kiss with ex-wife Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), leaving Mandy devastated.
The pair came close to splitting, but with such a rich history, they couldn’t stay apart for long.
In truly fairytale scenes, Mandy and Paddy forgave each other, with Paddy later proposing.
Nothing is ever smooth when it comes to Mandy and Paddy, so their wedding will no doubt be a chaotic affair, as producer Sophie teased.
‘In the Dingle world we’ve got Mandy and Paddy building towards a wedding. It is Mandy and Paddy so that’s going to be filled with fun.’
