EastEnders spoilers follow from Thursday’s
(May 2) episode, which hasn’t yet aired on BBC One.
EastEnders made an It’s A Sin reference
during Olly Alexander’s cameo on the show.
The Years and Years singer appeared in a scene during today’s episode, before heading to Malmö, Sweden, to represent the UK at next week’s Eurovision Song Contest.
Olly paid a visit to the Queen Vic before his final rehearsals to catch up with old friend Johnny Carter, and the Walford locals wished him luck for his upcoming performance.

But some viewers might have caught a sneaky reference to Olly’s previous work, with Bianca Jackson making a comment that alluded to his lead role in Channel 4’s It’s A Sin.
“I mean, I think it’s a sin that he don’t like girls,” she remarked. “I’d give him douze points if I was in my twenties.”
Olly starred as Ritchie Tozer in Russell T Davies’ 2021 drama which was set during the HIV/AIDS crisis, with his emotional performance garnering particular praise from both viewers and critics.
