Casualty star William Beck has admitted

that he was surprised by the identity of the ED whistleblower.

A huge talking point among fans currently is in

regards to the mystery member of staff who has

helped with an exposé about Holby Hospital.

Last Saturday’s episode (April 28) saw the team thrown into jeopardy when a Panorama-style documentary got released about the department, leaving some staff fearing they looked incompetent in the footage.

Digital Spy understands that the character responsible was kept a closely-guarded secret behind the scenes as well, with the actor only learning of their involvement as they went to film the reveal scenes.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy about the story, Will – who plays Dylan – said: “The kind of speculation that I’ve heard about this so far has been spread very evenly across the potential candidates.

“I can say that I was surprised [by the outcome]. Of course, there will be people who knew, but I was surprised.

“It has been nice that it was kept a secret internally. It will be a surprise to everybody. And I am not ruling myself out by the way!”
