Ahead of Charlie Fairhead’s (Derek Thompson) exit,
Casualty has confirmed tomorrow’s episode of
the medical drama will not be released early.
Back in December, it was revealed that Casualty will join
in EastEnders in uploading their new episodes at 6am on BBC iPlayer.
This gives fans the chance to check the instalment out early if they’re not able to tune into the broadcast on BBC One in the evening.
While it is beneficial, it also has a downside, and increases the chance of people revealing major spoilers to those who are yet to see the episode.
Because of this, Casualty has decided to not upload tomorrow’s instalment to iPlayer, which also happens to feature Charlie’s departure.
Last week, Charlie’s life was left hanging in the balance when he was stabbed by a patient trying to steal medical supplies.
Tomorrow, while his friends and colleagues try and save his life, Charlie starts to slip in and out of consciousness. During this, viewers will be treated to flashback scenes from the beginning of Charlie’s career as a nurse.
In this tense and dramatic episode, will Charlie survive the stabbing?
And if he does, how will he leave Holby City ED?
