Emmerdale’s Beth Cordingly has revealed that she is
‘very in love’ with partner Ian Kelsey, who previously
played Dave Glover on the ITV soap.
The actress, who joined the show as Ruby Fox-Miligan
this year, has been in a relationship with Ian for three years and said that the former soap star was ‘really supportive’ when she landed the role.
‘There is that thing as an actor where you are always taken away from home,’ she said. ‘But he totally gets it. He knows a lot of the crew and cast and so it’s lovely to be able to share what I’ve been up to, knowing he understands.
‘That’s important when you are away and he is always keen to find out how filming has gone each day.
‘We are both very supportive of each other’s careers which is important when it is such a competitive industry.’
Beth and Ian, who have known each other for over two decades, added to The Mirror: ‘I am very in love with Ian and very happy.’
Beth made her Emmerdale debut at the start of 2024, with Ruby being introduced as the mystery woman who Caleb, her ex-husband, was caught with during a passionate moment with her.
Soap superfans may recognise Beth from her role as Debbie, a cellmate of Shirley Carter’s (Linda Henry) in EastEnders back in 2017.
Her biggest role, however, is undoubtedly as PC Kerry Young in The Bill.
