On Tuesday, April 30, Bold & Beautiful will be giving stepsibling
rivals Steffy and Hope a break from their squabbling — but not
from squabbling itself. That’s the day that Ashleigh Brewer returns
to the CBS daytime drama as Ivy. And suffice it to say, this isn’t some casual visit.
“I don’t want to give too much away, but what I can say is that Ivy is back and on a mission,” the actress tells Soap.com. “She knows what she wants, and she is back to map a plan.”
Might Eric’s niece be looking to pick up where she left off with Liam? As Scott Clifton has said, his character should have held on to Ivy for dear life. “Scott is right! Liam should never have let Ivy get away,” Brewer says. “She adored him. But, as we know, timing is everything.
“Something tells me Ivy may be right on time” this go-round, she continues. Based on the preview that Bold & Beautiful aired after its April 26 episode — in which Steffy gets an eyeful of the former sweethearts kissing at Il Giardino — we’re gonna climb out on a limb and bet that she’s 100-percent right.
Only recently, Clifton spoke with Soaps.com about the potential upside to a rematch, especially where his character is concerned. “What makes Ivy unique with respect to Liam is that she has this sort of singular experience of him,” he pointed out. “She’s only seen the good side, not the side that Steffy and Hope have seen so much of. So Ivy knows a different Liam than everybody else on the canvas.” (Read his full interview here.)
Although the legendary waffler’s exes have sworn him off once and for all, that doesn’t mean that they’ll necessarily be cool with someone else moving in on their turf. As it is, Ivy has a history of bringing out, let’s say, Hope’s feisty side. “I have a feeling they will” butt heads again, Brewer teases. “There’s nothing more fun to watch than two self-proclaimed ‘good girls’ fight for the crown.”
