Another Casualty exit ‘confirmed’ as legend gets set to leave in new trailer

There’s trouble ahead for Dylan Keogh (William Beck) in Casualty

soon as this new trailer shows the moment he hands in his ID pass

and wonders whether he ‘can do this anymore’

The new boxset, titled Breaking Point, will primarily focus on Rash

as he struggles to cope after losing his dad Ashok, who died in February after being hit by a bus.

Discussing his reaction to being at the centre of this new boxset, actor Neet Mohan told Metro.co.uk: ‘We could have had his dad die half way through a box set and then seen his slide, but I think this was a much more interesting way to do it, to feed it back in, his dad’s dementia and the pressures of work and him trying to get things right and sometimes messing up and then progressing to the next level.

‘I think we reach it at an interesting stage where you get more from the character than you would if we were doing it slightly differently. It was really exciting and I was really honoured to be able to do such a big storyline as well. I hope it all comes across, really.’

This new trailer – which is the first one following Charlie’s (Derek Thompson) exit – has given us a teaser with what’s ahead over the next 12 episodes. As well as welcoming newcomers Patrick (Jamie Glover), Nicole (Sammy T Dobson) and Rash’s cousin Tariq (Manpreet Bachu), we also see the start of a new storyline for beloved character Dylan.

He looks set to clash with Patrick, who is now Clinical Lead, and is uncomfortable and defensive when the new face puts forward the idea of Dylan being on the autistic spectrum.

Troubled and feeling the pressure, Dylan is then seen putting his pass on Patrick’s desk and walking through the hospital, saying ‘I don’t know if I can do this anymore, I don’t think I should try’.

Will the arrival of Patrick and his comments cause Dylan to end his career at Holby ED?

When it comes to the characters in the ambulance station, it looks set to be a busy few weeks for Paramedic Jacob (Charles Venn).

In the clips, Iain (Michael Stevenson) is seen supporting Jacob and telling him the baby is his ‘flesh and blood’ – but has Jacob become a father again?

Or is the baby his grandchild?

Elsewhere, Teddy (Milo Clarke) is having an intense and emotional conversation with his auntie Jan (Di Botcher). He appears adamant going to the police or attending therapy won’t work for his problem, but what has happened to Teddy to put him in this position?

And will he really deal with it all on his own?
