Manpreet Sharma’s (Rebecca Sarker) crush on Billy Fletcher

(Jay Kontzle) has hit danger levels in Emmerdale.

Despite assuring everyone around her that she’s happy in

her relationship – including Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin),

Manpreet is anything but.

The first sign that things were headed in the wrong direction

was when Manpreet chose him as her relationship woes confidante, before selecting him as her PT. Throwing willpower to the wind, Manpreet allowed herself to cultivate a crush on her trainer.

Ethan sensed something was up, but she promised him all was A-OK with his dad. The truth is she’s about to push the line.

Ella Forster (Paula Lane) arranges some drinks to cheer up a mopey Manpreet, with Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley), Gail Loman (Rachael Gill-Davis), and even Claudette Anderson (Flo Wilson) convinced to join for a bevvy or two.

The ladies let their hair down for a right raucous affair, and it’s not long before inhibitions are lowered and behaviour gets to tipping point.

It’s Claudette who succumbs to the power of the drink first, as she boldly flirts with Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards). But there’s another flirty mistress who catches Ella’s eye – Manpreet fawning all over Billy.

Ella pulls her to one side for a chat and warns her about her behaviour towards a married man. But the booze is deaf to a supportive word.

As Manpreet sees Billy get up to leave, she spots her moment through a drunken haze, grabs his face in her hands and gives him a big snog.

The next day, the girl code holds firm as Ella assures the GP that Charles doesn’t need to know, but she thinks Billy needs an explanation.

Manpreet attempts to apologise to Billy, but Charles overhears. He unleashes hell on her, it’s over. And things could be even worse for Billy when struggling new mum Dawn finds out…
