Brytni Sarpy, the actress portraying Elena, recently shared some thrilling news with her Instagram followers—she’s back on the Y&R set and filming!

Soap Opera Digest reports that Sarpy posted several fun pictures and videos on her Instagram Story, hinting at her return to Genoa City.

The first image was a selfie of Sarpy behind a door, captioned “Just dropping by to say hi to the family…”

Next, she uploaded a video showing her emotional reaction to a sign on her dressing room door that read, “13,000 episodes. ” Below it, it read, “Brytni Sarpy, Dr. Elena Dawson, Welcome back—we missed you!!!”

Sarpy captioned this video story with, “Missed you too 😢”

Soaps Spoilers reports that Sarpy first played Elena Dawson in 2019 and quickly became involved in major storylines and romances with cousins Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).

However, Elena has been missing in Genoa City for quite some time. Her character slowly faded from the show after Nate broke up with her for Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) in March 2023.

Could Sarpy’s big return change all that? As of now, there are no details about her airdate or storyline.
