It’s a busy week in Emmerdale for Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) – and it kicks off with a relationship split, as her short-lived passion with Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) is cut short.
But is this really the end of the line for the couple, as there is evidently still a spark there?
Elsewhere, relations with Arthur (Alfie Clarke) remain strained – not helped by an intervention from Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler).
Tom King (James Chase) is up to more vile tricks, this time he is targeting a child as he is determined to get the tablet back from Isaac.
And Kim Tate (Claire King) is determined to get under Will Taylor’s (Dean Andrews) skin, which ends in a violent altercation as his jealousy explodes.
Monday October 7
Moira frets about her upcoming appointment to Vanessa.
Manpreet spots tension when Charles and Jai square up to each other. Charles is embarrassed as Manpreet berates him and walks away.
Later, Charles tells Laurel about his run-in with Jai. Laurel wants to chat about it, but Charles stands his ground and calls their relationship off.
Tom keeps an eye on Isaac, who has his tablet, and catching him alone, asks for it back. Isaac tells him it’s at home and volunteers where the spare key is hidden so he can get it himself.
Tom sneaks into Butlers Farm to find the tablet, but is forced to hide when Matty walks in. Meanwhile, Belle sees Moira and asks if anything has jogged her memory of the voicemail she left her, but Moira doesn’t recall anything.
Belle is startled to see Tom who brags about his assured victory in court, leaving Belle full of dread. Once Tom thinks he is home alone he begins to smash his tablet up with a hammer unaware Carl is watching on unseen.
Laurel and Arthur’s relationship is in turmoil whilst Nicola coaxes a confession from Arthur.
Feeling guilty for pressuring Jimmy to sell his shares in the haulage, Will invites Jimmy for a few drinks at Home Farm with the promise of no business talk. Glad of the distraction from the investigation surrounding John, Jimmy enjoys a beer with Will.
Kim finds them and is furious at the state of the living room. Later, Kim comes downstairs looking stunning for a dinner-date with her financial advisor, Peter. Jimmy’s jaw is on the floor at what he’s witnessed and Will is left seething.
Billy is taking furtive phone calls and clearly hiding a secret – out of sight, Billy hides a pair of boxing gloves from Dawn.
Tuesday October 8
When Peter and Kim upset Will further, Will punches Peter to the floor. Later, Lydia finds Kim sitting in the Home Farm living room, contemplating her relationship.
She admits she doesn’t feel as good as she’d hoped in upsetting Will. Lydia implies there’s a possibility they still love each other.
When Kerry sees Will at a low ebb could she unwittingly put back Kim’s plan to make things up with Will?
Nicola steps in as Arthur’s unlikely confidante, offering advice and urging reconciliation with Laurel. But Nicola’s interference creates a war with Laurel.

Billy and Dawn are excited to be bringing Evan home, and Billy enquires from Mack about finding him a cheap car to buy but Mack is suspicious of Billy’s new found wealth and an injury he is nursing.
Seeing Will downing pints outside the Woolpack, Sam and Lydia reflect on their own family issues. The pair feel at a loss to see Tom’s manipulation working on Amelia.
Wednesday October 9
Dawn reminds Billy he can’t be late for the hospital visit to collect Evan. Gabby spots an anxious Dawn waiting for a late Billy and she offers to take her to the hospital instead.
Meanwhile, Mackenzie is shocked to the core when he sees a bloodied and bruised Billy on his doorstep. Billy begs Mack to help him and refuses to go to a hospital, worried about involving the authorities.
Mack Boyd helps Billy Fletcher, who has multiple injuries to his stomach in Emmerdale
