Sid Owen’s Dark Comeback: EastEnders Star Returns to Face Sinister New Role After 8 Years!

In a surprising turn of events, Sid Owen, best known for his iconic role as Ricky Butcher in EastEnders, is making a

significant return to acting after an eight-year hiatus. His last screen appearance was in the 2016 short film Angels

and Cowboys, and since then, he has primarily participated in reality shows, including Banged Up.

Owen is set to star in the upcoming film Cade, alongside Jess and Daisy May Cooper’s father. This project, written by Lynn Krill, seeks to shed light on the often-hidden struggles of those dealing with eating disorders. Sid expressed his enthusiasm for the role, stating, “Mental health and eating disorders impact many lives, and I personally know someone who has been through it. It’s incredibly difficult.” His commitment to such a poignant subject demonstrates his desire to contribute positively to the conversation surrounding mental health.

The film aims to reduce the stigma associated with eating disorders and provide support for those affected. Owen’s involvement underscores the importance of representation and understanding in media, particularly regarding sensitive topics that impact countless individuals.
