Dean Wicks’ (Matt Di Angelo) trial kicked off in tonight’s episode of EastEnders and as expected, it was chaotic.
Following Linda’s (Kellie Bright) murder of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) last Christmas, The Six have done a fairly good job at keeping the truth hidden and preventing them all from facing time behind bars.
They managed to frame and arrest Dean for the crime, but have been waiting for the trial to try and find some form of closure.
Taking the stand on day one were Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean). Thankfully, despite a little wobble, Stacey managed to hold her own when the lawyers cross-examined her.
When Sharon stood up though, things suddenly took a dramatic turn.
Dean’s lawyer, played by soap veteran Neil Roberts, began by asking Sharon if she’s a liar. This led nicely onto Finn’s point about Sharon never telling Keanu that Phil (Steve McFadden) is Albie’s biological father.
Despite the fact Sharon didn’t know about this connection for the majority of Albie’s life, she looked as though she was being dishonest due to previously swearing an oath about telling the truth.
Finn then dug further into Sharon’s past by mentioning her complicated history with Phil and his brother Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp). Of course, to the members of the jury, it leaves them wondering just how truthful Sharon is being regarding Keanu’s death.
