Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) fears he’s rumbled an affair between Harvey
Monroe (Ross Boatman) and Maya Houssain (Bharti Patel) in upcoming
EastEnders scenes – but not everything is as it seems.
Mysterious Maya was first introduced to viewers of the BBC One soap last
month after she bumped into Harvey on the market, and the two hit it off over their love of football.
With Harvey’s partner Jean Slater’s (Gillian Wright) suspicions piqued over her identity, there has been much speculation from fans who suspect that her husband could’ve been targeted by Harvey’s racist son Aaron (Charlie Wernham), who is currently serving a prison stretch for his involvement with a far-right gang that plotted to plant a bomb in the derelict Arjee Bhajee restaurant.
In upcoming scenes, Harvey and Jean are about to enjoy a romantic evening together when he’s thrown by a message from Maya. After making excuses, he meets up with her
Maya explains that she’s having to sell her family home due to debts, and the two are spotted by a concerned Freddie. He quickly reports back to Jean with his worries that the two are in a secret relationship…
After she leaves, Harvey finds she’s dropped a letter addressed to her, but is confused when spotting the address isn’t the area of London where she supposedly lives.
Driving over to the house, he knocks on the door and is taken aback by a loud crash from inside. Unable to wait any longer, he barges in and is met by a distressed man.
