Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) finally admits to herself that she’s
in a toxic situation with husband Tom King (James Chase) in Emmerdale
and makes plans to flee the village in upcoming episodes.
The move comes after Belle was forced to take drastic action to secretly
terminate her pregnancy without Tom knowing. Tom was delighted to hear that Belle was pregnant, after making it very clear that he can’t wait to be a father.
For Belle, however, it was the wrong time and she knew she couldn’t go ahead with the pregnancy while she was living in fear of what Tom might do next.
After Tom had sold her car in yet another move designed to make her less independent and more reliant on him, Belle took a huge risk and took Tom’s car to drive herself to the clinic.
